Home of Silver
Dapple Morgans and Morabs!!
Updated October 24, 2010!
It
all started with a promise from my father to get me a horse,
except he didn't really want me to have one. Well one day my
mother was talking to a neighbor and he had a filly for sale.
This filly was with me for 20 years, and taught me most of what
I know about horses, she also spoiled me on color, as she was
a buckskin/pinto with the silver dapple mostly hidden because
of the cream gene. Ginger is one of those horses that you will
never forget, she taught me patience, she taught me to be the
leader or she would get her way, she was lead mare and pony
personality all rolled into one. My program is based on this
mare, as she was very smart girl, sometimes too smart, she learned
things easy, but also made you work for them. When she was about
10 years old, I had the opportunity to breed her to an Arabian
stallion, the result is Reign, my Bay Silver Dapple gelding.
This would be the only chance for a foal from her, as she ended
up prolapsing her rectum, and with the start of COPD, the vet
didn't recommend breeding her again. Raising Reign, how quiet
and easy to train he was, made me decide that if the owners
ever sold his sire I wanted first dibs. That opportunity also
came. Blu Teal is now my senior stallion on the farm, and is
the base of my program. Born in 1981 he is now 22 years old,
and still throwing the disposition and conformation in his foals
that I desire. In December of 2001 I had to make the hardest
decision, I had to put Ginger down after 20 years of growing
up with her. She had gotten too sick. After a few months of
working with the vet, it was decided that she just wasn't going
to make it threw the winter. So this is in dedication to my
first horse and my best friend.

Tamar's
Ventures is located in the North East corner of Indiana, situated
on 150 acres with woods, hayfields and gently rolling pastures
with a flowing creek. Along with my father, Ken, and my mother,
Wynell, who run and manage Tamar's Ventures, we are breeding for
the gentle disposition of Arabians and Morabs. Horses that are
suitable for the whole family, from children to adults, whether
for show or the trail. Foals are imprinted at birth and handled.
They are taught to stand tied, and are taught to be friendly,
the are naturally easy to work with and handle. Love attention,
and always come up to see who is in the pasture with them. The
foals all are suitable for children, as my major focus on this
program is conformation and personality, with color for fun. With
these goals in mind versatility is a given. My dearest hope is
to find homes like mine for my foals, homes that will keep and
grow with the foals, and have a friend for life. I hope you enjoy
my website, and if you have any questions drop me an email or
give me a call. I am always willing to talk about horses.
